How's the Nashville music scene and is it all country?

Nashville is nicknamed the "Music City", but what I'm wondering is if Nashville is predominantly all country, or is there other stuff too like jazz and stuff? I'm not a huge fan of country music, and since I'm thinking of applying to Vanderbilt next year, I have to make sure the music they play is not all country, because I will not enjoy myself as much if it is. The music I like is jazz, some rock, hip hop, and r&b, does Nashville have any of this in its music scene, or is it all country like I assume?
